Adding new channels to a Team
Each Team can have separate Channels within it. These can be accessible by all users in the Team or just to a certain subset of users.
Channels keep all chat messages, shared files and Tabs separate so you can keep the contents relevant. By default, each Team has only a General channel. This guide will show you how to add a new Channel that is only accessible by certain users.
1. Right-click the Team you would like to add the Channel to and select Manage Team.
2. From the tabs at the top of the Team management screen, select Channels.

4. Enter your Channel name and description. To restrict this Channel to certain users, select the Privacy dropdown and choose Private.
5. Search for the users to add to the channel and click Add.
6. Select an Owner of the Channel if needed. This will allow them to make changes and add other users to the Channel. Review your settings and click Done.
7. The Channel will now appear underneath the Team. The padlock icon indicates that this is a private Channel.
